On 17 January 2013 the President of the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland, HM Rector of the University of Silesia Prof. Wiesław Banyś met with representatives of the Young Scientists Council. The aim of the meeting was to discuss the objectives of planned amendments to the Higher Education Act.
The Young Scientists Council is a subsidiary body established by the Minister of Science and Higher Education to support career development of young scientists. It opines on various issues either upon the Minister’s request or on its own initiative. Furthermore, the YSC may issue recommendations for the Minister with respect to Poland’s science and innovation policy.
