On 25 January 2013 the EUA Council met in Istanbul, Turkey. CRASP was represented by its President, HM Rector of the University of Silesia Prof. Wiesław Banyś.
Agenda for session I included, among other issues, approval of the Minutes of the Council meeting held in Brussels on 26 October 2012, report from Vice-President Prof. David Drewry on the outcomes of the 21 November meeting of the Research Policy Working Group (RPWG), update on latest developments regarding the budget and programming of EU Research, Innovation and Education Programmes 2014-2020, and discussion on the impact of Massive Online Open Courses (MOOCs) on European Universities. Session II was dedicated to adoption of the EUA Work Programme for 2013/2014, adoption of the EUA Budget for 2013, information on the draft budget 2014 and presentation of key financial indicators.
The meeting of the EUA Council was followed by a meeting with the Rectors of the Turkish universities.
