On Wednesday, 5 December 2012, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education hosted representatives of the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China. The delegates, among them Vice-Minister of Education Mr. Chin Du Yubo, were received by Undersecretary of State Dr. Daria Lipińska-Nałęcz. The visit provided an opportunity to discuss issues related to recognition of qualifications and to explore possibilities for intensification of cooperation between Polish and Chinese higher education institutions.
The President of the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland, HM Rector of the University of Silesia Prof. Wiesław Banyś participated in the meeting. Other attendees included representatives of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education’s Department of Strategy, Department of Control and Supervision and Bureau for Academic Recognition and International Exchange. The Chinese Ministry of Education was represented by delegates from the Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges, Department of Moral Education and State Examination Commission. A representative of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Republic of Poland was also in attendance.
